Demag V-type crane is one of the best at INDUSTRIEPREIS 2015

The Demag V-type crane has won the INDUSTRIEPREIS “Best of 2015” award. This makes the crane, which was launched in 2014, one of the best entries in the “Intralogistics & Production Management” category. The publishing house Huber Verlag für Neue Medien has been recognizing particularly innovative and forward-looking industrial companies with its INDUSTRIEPREIS for 10 years. The theme of this year’s competition was “Network of the future”.

A jury consisting of scientists, experts from the industry and trade journalists evaluated some 1,500 entries. Decisive criteria for their decision included the economic, social, environmental and technological benefits of the products entered. “Thanks to its low deadweight, reduced oscillation characteristics and long service life, the Demag V-type crane offers significant advantages compared with cranes that have box-section girders”, explains Andreas Hambrock, Head of Universal Cranes business line at Terex Material Handling. “In addition, the crane contributes towards sustainability, since the V-type section requires less material and, consequently, less energy for the drive arrangement.”

As one of the best entries, the Demag V-type crane has been included in the INDUSTRIE top-ranking list for 2015, which helps decision-makers and interested parties to select the right industrial solutions and products to meet their needs.
